SMS, phone calls, call log, contacts, location, camera, microphone, accounts and nearby devices are always declined, and any such access is removed again before and after every session. If one of your features needs a declined permission, the rest of your app is still used every day.
No. Our testers install your app directly from Google Play using the opt-in link. We never touch your APK. Just paste the link you get from Play Console → Testing → Closed testing → Testers tab → "Copy link".
It's a Play Console URL that lets testers join your closed testing program. Go to Play Console → your app → Testing → Closed testing → Testers tab. Enable the opt-in link and copy it. Your release must be approved by Google first (usually 3–5 days after upload).
Google evaluates engagement, not just opt-in count. Apps where testers never open the app can still be rejected despite having 12+ opted-in users.
